Key Relationships CRM

The Key Relationships CRM tracks the organizations, contacts, and roles that participate in your compliance operations. Unlike a sales CRM, it is structured around regulatory relationships and evidence lineage.

Regulated organizations maintain relationships that carry compliance obligations:

  • Business Associates under HIPAA who handle PHI
  • Insurance carriers and brokers who require evidence for underwriting
  • Subcontractors who must provide Certificates of Insurance
  • Medical providers coordinating injury recovery and return-to-work plans
  • Legal counsel reviewing agreements and attestations
  • Regulatory bodies with reporting requirements and audit calendars

The Key Relationships CRM maps these relationships and connects them to compliance workflows.

Each organization record includes:

  • Legal entity name and identifiers
  • Relationship type (Business Associate, Carrier, Subcontractor, Provider, etc.)
  • Associated compliance frameworks
  • Contact roster with role assignments
  • Document associations (BAAs, COIs, agreements)

Each contact is mapped to:

  • Their organization
  • Their role within AlignSure (Owner, Reviewer, Contributor)
  • Their compliance domain (Attorney, Safety Advisor, Insurance Advisor, Medical Provider)
  • Their Microsoft identity (for authenticated users within your tenant)

Every relationship change is logged:

  • When a BAA is executed with a Business Associate
  • When a reviewer is added or removed from a compliance domain
  • When an organization’s COI expires or is renewed
  • When a contact’s role changes
