Document AI Review Copilot
The Document AI Review Copilot analyzes compliance documents, generates accuracy scores, and routes documents through reviewer workflows.
What It Reviews
Section titled “What It Reviews”The Copilot handles structured review of:
- Certificates of Insurance (COIs) — Coverage types, limits, endorsements, exclusions, expiration dates
- Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) — Required clauses, party identification, PHI scope
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) — Policy alignment, completeness, regulatory mapping
- First Reports of Injury (FROIs) — State-specific field requirements, completeness validation
- Job Descriptions — ADA essential duties, physical requirements, occupational classification
How It Works
Section titled “How It Works”- Upload — A user uploads a document or routes it from SharePoint / Outlook
- Analysis — AI extracts key fields, identifies compliance-relevant content, and flags gaps or inconsistencies
- Scoring — The system generates an accuracy score based on completeness, regulatory alignment, and internal policy conformance
- Routing — The document is assigned to the appropriate reviewer(s) based on document type and configured role mappings
- Attestation — Reviewers validate AI findings, add annotations, and sign off. Every action is identity-bound and timestamped.
Accuracy Scoring
Section titled “Accuracy Scoring”AlignSure uses the METIS annotation methodology to generate accuracy scores. Scores reflect:
- Completeness — Are all required fields present?
- Regulatory alignment — Does the content satisfy the applicable framework requirements?
- Internal consistency — Do values match across related fields and documents?
- Currency — Are dates, amounts, and references current?
Scores are visible to owners and reviewers on the Risk Intelligence Dashboard and are included in evidence export packages.
Reviewer Workflow
Section titled “Reviewer Workflow”Documents flow through a defined review pipeline:
Upload → AI Analysis → Reviewer Assignment → Review & Annotate → Approval/Rejection → Evidence ArchiveEach step records:
- Who performed the action (Microsoft identity)
- When it occurred (UTC timestamp)
- What changed (before/after state for annotations)
- Which regulatory framework applies
Integration Points
